Chattanooga Tax Payers: the victims of elected official decisions:

Higher storm water fees--- Ron asked for $100,000,000 last October in nothing less than a bailout. He said “We have to show the state and federal government we are serious.” This was Mr. Littlefield’s responsibility to do that FIVE years ago! He failed but admits no fault and says the taxpayers should pay. In the world outside city hall the CEO is fired.

Higher permits and fees --- In January Ron asked for and got $600,000 dollars in increases in almost every fee and permit category. The reason? “they had not been raised in a long time.”

Isn't the government supposed to REPRESENT the PEOPLE?

Join the Recall
Our last hope!

Tell Ron the job does not belong to him but the people, and we are evicting him!  (Letters to the editor are WELCOME.  Write your local news and mention recallron.com.  Help spread the recall campaign.)

Other cities provide a benchmark for judging our mayor:

Knoxville

  • 3rd in population in Tennessee
  • $168,000,000 budget($20,000,000 less than Chattanooga
  • Lower debt
  • Fewer city employees

Cleveland

  • 5th largest "industrial city" in Tennessee
  • No tax increase for 2011
  • Grows by attraction not annexation

Littlefield is producing urban sprawl. Chattanooga has more land area than Philadelphia, Portland and Atlanta. Utility lines, roads, storm water facilities, police and fire servicies are streched. Recently he said he wanted Chattanooga to catch up with Knoxville in population, we would be happy to catch up with Knoxvilles storm water fee.  The have none!

Mayor Littlefield's model is unsustainable. In his consuming desire for a bigger city, he works to annex more and more unwilling residents and bussiness. "Littlefield was asked who will pay when we leave? He answered Whoever's left"

Crime is critical, people must be safe in their neighborhoods, no area should be left with out. Routinely areas of our city from East Lake to St. Elmo, from Brainerd to HWY 58 have inadequatw responce times.  Voilent crime in Chattanooga compares unfavorably to the national average.  Five people are shot in Coolidge Park. The mayors answer; close all precinct offices and run the police departments from a central office, then declare we don't have a gang problem. No mistake can be fixed without admitting it first. The police know we have a gang problem.

When asked If he was worried about the voters, Littlefield said; "What are they going to do, recall me?"
